Webmaster for the PTA Website:

Program Description: This program maintains the PTA website. If you can point and click, you can be a webmaster using this user-friendly software!
Funding: the program and website do not require any funding, all is open source/free.
Program Dates: runs throughout the year
Volunteers Needed:
1 Chairperson – one Webmaster
1 or 2 Co-Chairpersons – not needed
Worker Bees - not needed
Time Commitment Expected:
Chairperson – should be able to attend most PTA meetings or be able to read all minutes and have a pulse on what is happening in the school, the editing of the website should only take about 1 hour each month, plus in September you would need to update information may take about 1-2 hours of additional work.
Co-Chairperson – n/a
Worker Bees – n/a
Skills Needed: the ability to edit a document similar to a "Microsoft Word" file, ability to answer and forward emails. The original website developer, Sonja Thomson, is more than willing to provide a short (1 hour) training and will make herself available for additional training or questions as needed.
Chairperson Responsibilities: Update the website in September to reflect the new school year dates, etc. Monthly updates as needed based on PTA changes or program developments. Attend PTA monthly meetings or keep abreast of news via newsletters, PTA minutes, etc.
Meeting and Planning Schedule: you can chair this committee during evening or weekend hours, very flexible.
