PTA Association Members
If you joined the Middle School PTA this year, you are a member of the association or general membership! We hope you'll attend as many PTA meetings as you can, there are 3 General Membership meetings held each year where you can exercise your right to vote! In September the budget is adopted, in February the nominating committee is elected, and in May the Annual Meeting is held in which time annual reports of officers and committee chairmen shall be presented and officers are elected (Unit PTA By-Laws adopted every three years).
Ten (10) members shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business in any meeting of the association.
PTA Budgets and Financials
Fiscal year runs from July 1st to June 30th. The budget is developed by Officers and approved at the September PTA General Membership Meeting. It is fiscally responsible to have a reserve maintained in a PTA Savings Account not to exceed one fiscal years operating expenses. An approved budget line, not to exceed 15%, can be reallocated to another budget line by majority vote of the Executive Board when deemed appropriate.
